Description
A group of four large late 18th century Staffordshire figures attributed to Enoch Wood representing the figures of the widow Zarapath and the prophet Elijah. Painted in polychrome enamels in soft pastel tones, one figure of Zarapath with a pitcher at her feet the other holding a wafer (apparently interpreted by the decorator as a current bun!). Elija seated on a tree stump and accompanied by a raven. Circa: 1795 Height: 24cm.
