A superb large Aubusson 18th century tapestry woven in wool and silk. Depicting Flora as an allegory of Spring. Flora sitting in a forest clearing and threading a floral garland accompanied by putti offering her flowers. A classical urn in the background shelters a pair of lovers by a flowing stream. A profusion of flowers and foliage to either side. Retaining lovely original colours and contrasts. Circa: 1720 Height:252cm Width: 405cm
