A superb large Aubusson 18th century tapestry woven in wool and silk. Depicting the Goddess Flora as an allegory of Spring. Flora threading a floral garland sits accompanied by putti offering her flowers. A classical urn in the background shelters a pair of lovers by a flowing stream. A profusion of flowers and foliage to either side. This lovely tapestry retains its original colours and contrasts. Circa: 1720 Height:252cm Width: 405cm
