A very fine 17th century Aubusson tapestry woven in wool and silk from the story of Alexander the great. Alexander is depicted on horse back after victory at the battle of Hydaspes. The defeated and wounded King Porus is bought before Alexander who spares his life and grants him a new Kingdom.
